Dear Sunrise Mountain Village Homeowner,

The summer season has arrived for us here at Sunrise Mountain Village.  In light of the continuing challenges posed by COVID-19, I want to take this moment to update you on our summer season facilities and services.

In a continuation of our COVID-19 policies from March, FBC remains closed to all homeowners and guests.  See “Packages” below for our policies and procedures related to package receipt and delivery.

Our outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub will remain closed until further notice.  We have carefully considered the relevant rules and regulations related to public pool safety, and unfortunately we do not have the ability to properly and safely operate these facilities.

The tennis court area and the hiking trails on Sunrise property are open.  Please practice proper social distancing when using any outdoor facility.

We remind all of our homeowners that each of their units has an occupancy limit imposed by the Town of Killington for purposes of fire safety.  Please abide by these occupancy limits.  If you rent your unit, please be certain that your rental agents and rental guests obey these occupancy limits.

1. All trash, including recyclables, must be bagged, and tied securely.
2. Loose trash has never been permitted in the community; however, it is more important than ever to make sure trash is contained in a well-sealed bag.
3. All boxes must be broken down.
4. Trash must be dropped off between 7:00 a, and 12:00 noon. If you are leaving Sunrise after 12:00 noon, or dispose of trash outside of this schedule, it is imperative you call the office to schedule a trash pick-up. Bears are active, and this is an important safety consideration.

  1. When shipping a package, address the package with your name, unit number, 241 Sunrise Road, Killington, VT 05751.
  2. Due to the large volume of packages delivered to FBC and the limited storage space, please pick up your packages as soon as you are able; otherwise, we will deliver easily manageable packages to your unit during our routine schedule.
  3. If you wish to pick up your packages at FBC, please contact reception to schedule your pick-up in advance.
  4. For a package that has been at FBC for over 2 weeks, we will bill the homeowner a delivery fee at the hourly rate of $30 with a minimum $15 charge.
  5. A requested package delivery will be billed at the hourly rate of $30, with a minimum $15 charge.
  6. Packages over a $500.00 value will not be delivered.  Please notify reception if an item exceeds $500.00.
  7. If a package arrives at FBC with visible damage, reception will notify the homeowner indicated on the package.
  8. Sunrise prefers to NOT receive large, heavy, or high-value items, and will use their discretion when accepting and declining deliveries. If a homeowner ships a large, heavy, or high-value package to FBC, please notify reception to schedule a billable delivery.
  9. Packages delivered to FBC without a name or unit number will be returned to the shipper.
  10. Sunrise accepts NO LIABILITY in connection with the receipt and delivery of packages for loss or damage or any other contingency. If you wish to send packages to Sunrise and are concerned about the possible loss or damage, we recommend you insure the package.

1. Inspections will be conducted on a bi-weekly basis unless you have requested a temporary suspension.
2. Recently occupied units will be inspected after they have been dormant for 3 days.  It is imperative that you inform the office upon arrival and departure.
3. Our inspection teams have been instructed to wear rubber gloves and booties when in your unit and to wipe down all surfaces with which they made contact (e.g., door handles).

1. As we previously communicated to you, it is your responsibility to be informed of requirements being placed on Sunrise homeowners by the State of Vermont and other relevant Federal, state, and local authorities.
2. Please use this link as one source of information: https://governor.vermont.gov/document-types/executive-orders
3. Here is a helpful link if you are visiting Vermont and have questions about quarantining:
We will keep you posted of any pertinent changes. Please contact Katie Ring at officemanager@sunrisevt.com with any questions or additional concerns.

Best regards,

Kate Out of the Gate!

Social Distancing, Slope Side

Little did we know that last week’s article about the spring ski season would come to an abrupt halt. The sentence “… enjoy each turn you make, each trail you take, and each ski buddy with whom you share the moment.” was not meant to be the finale to the season last Saturday! As we Read More

The Flip Side of Ski Season

Spring skiing has its own unique version of our beloved winter sport.  Instead of leaping out of bed to catch first tracks, we wait for the morning sun to perform its magic. A second cup of coffee, a second application of sunblock, a longer read of the snow report, and the light layering decisions allow Read More

Signs of Early Spring Skiing

As we anticipate warm sunshine, sunglasses, sunblock and soft snow, the reality of early spring skiing can be quite different. Warm days with watery precipitation (rain) followed by big temperature drops at night can leave the trails less than desirable the following day. Please check the Killington Conditions and Weather as well as the Trail Read More

Explore the Ungroomed Terrain

Ungroomed trails that we dream about skiing are now in amazing condition. 😊 This weekend ski or ride off the beaten track (a.k.a. groomed trails) and try out some of the ungroomed and natural snow trails that dapple Killington’s trail landscape. A bonus for skiing on ungroomed trails is there is less traffic. Guess the Read More
