The snowmakers exceeded expectations with the spectacular opening of Lower Double Dipper on Wednesday. Dropping into Lower DD head wall required a leap of faith as the guns created white-out visual conditions, but the snow and terrain were consistent with no big surprises, just big smiles for skiers and riders. The bonus was the snow blowing across the Canyon chair into Double Dipper woods. The coverage was as good as it gets! See photo.

*Other choice trails to explore this weekend are Pipe Dream, Roundabout, Bear Claw, and Wildfire on the Bear Mountain side. Moving beyond Bear Mountain and Skye Peak, check out the North Ridge Chair trails, and the tree trails around Snowdon: Patsy’s and Low Rider. Killington anticipates the low-awaited opening of Lower Ovation this weekend. Take a bow snowmakers! Also, check out Ramshead to play on Woodward features. Killington is almost 100% open, so come up and make some turns!
