Tucked into the wilderness of the Madden Basin next to Sunrise Mountain Village, High Altitude Adventures offers 20 miles of marked trails and 4,000 acres of back country terrain for you to explore on our specialized Tubbs snowshoes or edged cross country skis. Grab a trail map and explore on your own or let our guides lead you on a private Snowshoe Adventure customized just for you. No matter what you chose, an exceptional winter experience awaits!

Private Snowshoe Lunch Adventure
This tour can be anything from a novice’s first experience on snowshoes to a serious athlete’s
800 foot vertical climb. With 4,000 acres to play in, we have it all! We work with you to customize a trek to meet the ability level and goals specific to your group.
All Lunch Adventures include a rejuvenating stop at our heated Wilderness Camp where a bountiful menu is cooked fresh and served hot. (equipment included)

Private Snowshoe Dinner Adventure
The Dinner Adventure is a one-of-a-kind experience allowing all ability levels to experience the deep Vermont woods by starlight. A one mile guided trek over groomed trails brings you to the heated Wilderness Camp. Enjoy a beverage around the bonfire while music plays and a back country banquet sizzles. If you want to BYOB, we are happy to bring your provisions up to camp ahead of time. Water and soft drinks are provided. Relax and enjoy the novelty of dining “off the grid!” (equipment included)
