As many of you know, Sunrise has a backcountry trail network Outback at Falls Brook that offers miles of groomed and natural trails. Access to our trails is free to homeowners and guests along with complimentary use of snowshoes, XC skis, ice skates, sleds and more.

Your backcountry adventures are now being extended into the night!  Experience the magic of the forest after dark on our NEW Solar Light Loop trails. We have opened three new trails that lead past the Village Pond ranging from a short 20 minute trek to a moderate 40 minute trek. All three loops are color coded and have dozens of solar beacons leading the way.

To sweeten the pot, these new trails loop right by the Hideout Camp, which will be open for your family and friends every Saturday evening. At camp, you will be greeted with music and a campfire. The tent is heated and offers you a place to sit and warm up at the end of your trek, so don’t forget to pack some snacks and BYOB!

Non-guided night trekking is limited to the Village Pond Loop ONLY! The Solar Light Loops are open daily until 8pm-All ability levels welcome. Head lamps or flash lights are not necessary but recommended. Please remember to sign in and out at the snowshoe hut.

Guided night treks will be offered 5:30pm-6:30pm every Saturday. All guided night treks are free and end at the Snowshoe Hut with homemade cookies, hot cocoa and a camp fire. If you are interested in a guided trek, please RSVP via 802-422-9494.
