Good News for Bear Mountain!
This post brings you updates that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. In addition to Killington’s snow guns laying out a nice base across Bear Mountain, yesterday’s storm left us 4 inches of powder that will allow Bear Mountain to open some trails just in time for MLK weekend! The terrain is constantly expanding so be sure to check out the trail report regularly.
To keep the good vibes flowing, the Sunrise Café will be opening for lunch on Saturday and Sunday along with dinner Friday through Sunday. Chef Jakub has a fantastic lunch menu so be sure to stop by during the day to grab a bite. We’ve been anxiously waiting to serve you lunch and look forward to seeing you! View the Café hours here.
Lift Access: The Sunrise Lift will not be spinning this weekend. Please visit the lift report to plan your transportation arrangements.
MLK Weekend Activities: Saturday Jan. 16th and Sunday Jan. 17th
3:00-4:30pm Guided Snowshoe Trek- Join Greg and Alice for a complimentary Snowshoe Trek along the moderate trails at Sunrise. This adventure will close at the Hideout Camp where tasty soup, snacks, hot cocoa, a fire and music await! For the 21+ crowd, feel free to bring your own a
dult beverage.
For those who choose to venture the trails without a guide, we will be meeting at the Hideout Camp at 4pm. Meet us there!
Snowshoes are available at the snowshoe hut. As usual, be sure to sign them out. Please call 802-422-9494 if you plan to join us!
5:00pm-8pm Winter Fun & Games- Outback at Falls Brook Common next to a roaring campfire, we will be serving hot cocoa and homemade cookies! Take a few runs on the soon to open Sunrise luge course or score some goals in a game of puff hockey on the ice pond.
***Complimentary ice skates, sleds, puff hockey equipment, snow shoes and XC skis are available at the snowshoe hut. We promote the use of personal ice skates when available and strongly encourage helmets on the pond and luge course. All equipment must be signed out and back in daily. Please note, all outdoor activities are weather permitting***
