Hello 2021! Goodbye 2020!
As we tippytoe into the early months of 2021, we are bestowed with fabulous snow showers that continue to increase Killington’s epic terrain choices. The fun-factor jumps to the top of the scale with all the newly opened trails to ski! Its like meeting up with an old friend and picking up the conversation where you left off last season. Hello Ovation! Hello Highline! Hello Thimble! The snow and terrain provide fun and excitement by dancing thru the bumps and making quick hops over the thin spots. After all, it is New England skiing, and we all love its challenging charm.
For the fast groomer skiers, the trail and terrain choices remain fantastic. Wildfire, Bear Claw, and parts of Great Northern were groomed beautifully with packed-powder corduroy conditions. Feeling the vibration of the corduroy under your feet provides a fun tickle with each turn. Ski fast with a big smile.
Onto the residuals of 2020…Many of my friends who are Killington employees are stationed at the lift mazes to monitor the mask requirements. While briefly visiting with a friend today, he had to remind at least five guests to “Mask Up” in the space of two minutes. Seriously. Now that we have the winter snow conditions we dreamed of all summer long, please remember to Mask Up so we can keep that dream alive through April!
