Sunrise Land Purchase and Wi-Fi Update

SHA Purchases New Common Land
On July 10th, The Sunrise Homeowners Association purchased the remaining two developer-owned lots that were originally designated to be part of the Lodges project for $50,000. The “F” and “G” lots, are approximately 18 total acres, and are located across the road from the Lodges and Cambridge buildings and extend from behind the Falls Brook Common building in the east, to the wastewater lagoons in the west.

Funding for this purchase came from the “Amenity Fund” which was established from new connection charges and fees from prior year’s development. This purchase will forever protect this land by ending the possibility of additional residential development on this property. Please review the map for the specific location.

The SHA has designated this property as “Master Common Property” of Sunrise Mountain Village, similar to other lands and facilities for all community members to use for recreational purposes. Future amenity construction on this property is permissible but there are no current plans for anything other than maintaining the existing trails.

dog dipWi-Fi Service
Due to the increase in storms which result in power surges and outages, the Sunrise Community wi-fi has experienced interruptions in service. Another reason for the service interruption is Vtel has contractors running the WOW network cables from the phone line source to the building units.

Please exercise patience as we will reset the host modem and router when we receive a call that the service is down. Based on the weather volatility and Vtel’s cable operations, service can go up and down without warning or planning ahead. Please note there is service at Falls Brook Common, and the service extends to the pool and patio area as well.
