Fare Thee Well!
According to the recent Killington’s newsletter, The Drift, spring operations will take place starting Monday, April 5th. The Sunrise Triple will have a final spin on Sunday, April 4th plus, Snowshed Lodge will shut down starting Monday, and the Snowshed quad will operate weekends only. There is no news yet about Bear Mountain’s closure date.
The good news is warm sunshine, sunblock, and soft snow will be available for you diehard skiers and riders starting next week! Be aware that the mornings could start off chilly, with firm snow surfaces, but by mid-morning, the snow will soften up as well as the fun factor. So, have a second cup of coffee, check the Killington Conditions and Weather and the Trail and Lift Report before you head out for a beautiful day on the slopes.
As the spring season continues, let’s look forward to wearing sunglasses and big smiles while skiing beautiful corn snow, hero snow, or poor man’s powder on our favorite Killington trails! As the season winds down, and trail count drops, enjoy each turn you make, each trail you take, and each ski buddy with whom you share the moment.
I look forward to sharing my love for skiing at Killington next season and hope you enjoyed Kate Out of the Gate this year. Fare Thee Well!
